About Max

Max Lyons was born & raised in Idaho, where he developed a love for adventure and a deep sense of curiosity. His parents were out of the house at 16 & 18, working full-time jobs to pay their way through school, and this blue-collar work ethic was instilled in Max at a very young age.

After 2-years of collegiate baseball, Max tore his pitching elbow and transferred to the University of Washington in Seattle where he studied Business. While in school, Max volunteered time and raised money for PUSH America (People Understanding the Severely Handicapped) and spent a spring break in the Dominican Republic working with children in poverty. Since moving to NYC, Max partners with NYCUP to fight human trafficking/modern day slavery and feed the homeless. Max is involved with Hillsong Church here in NYC (HillsongNYC.com) and is architecting a blog on generosity (ExploringGenerosity.com).

Work Experience:
Max works in Strategy Consulting for Accenture and is based in New York City. He is currently on client at a large health insurance firm on a Corporate Strategy project. Max plans to begin his MBA within the next three years.

He recently wrote and published “Words of Wisdom,” a guide to new hires on how to succeed at Accenture. The paper was adopted as mandatory training for all incoming analysts to the company, and the foreword was written by Walt Shill (Head of Management Consulting for North America).
